Andrew Pierce and Ashley Hudson became deeply entwined after their first meeting. Ashley was 17 and she'd never been married before. They took the relationship very slowly. The venue chosen was on the 40 acres back of the property Ashley grew up on. Ashley knew the entire region, exploring it, and playing on the land. Andrew, Ashley and their acquaintances had walked through this area several times when they started to get together. It was important to personalize the wedding since nearly all of the decorations were made by the groom and bride. Ashley designed and painted some of the decorations, and Andrew and Ashley's dad made the seating and ceremony arch.
